Last weekend (24/25 September) the Kingfisher team; Kevin Weyman (Sales Manager), Gary Goddard (Office Manager), Jennifer Swift (Business Development Manager), Louise Goddard (Business Development Manager), Cathy Dando (Area Sales Manager), Simon Wills (QC manager), Alex Taylor (Area Sales Manager, Greg Clarke (Brixham Fish Buyer) and David Porter (honouree member) went to the Stratford Food Festival.

The whole idea was to get the message out to the public on the advantages of eating sustainable fish, and how Kingfisher and Direct Seafoods are supporting local fisherman by buying all of their catch, at a good price.
We joined up with the One Elm (Peach Pubs) to get as many signatures for Hugh’s Fish Fight, and currently believe we have added in excess of 2000+ signatures. Simon Wills performed filleting demonstrations throughout the day, and also went on the main stage on the Saturday and Sunday in front of the receptive crowd.

A small shop was brilliantly received by the public, where they had the opportunity to buy day boat landed Brixham fish, which included Whiting, Line Caught Mackerel, and sustainable pie mix (Coley, Pout and Ling). We also sold Seven and Wye Smoked Salmon and Brixham dressed Crabs.
